Evernote, the success of a freemium model
Phil Libin.
I had tried a beta version of Evernote without much enthusiasm. At Womma, Martin Künzli, head of communication for the Salvation Army, convinced me to give it a second chance. Here’s the scoop: I wrote all these blog entries with Evernote on iPad, and edited them on the office’s iMac. I can’t live without it!
So I couldn’t miss the talk by Evernote’s CEO at Leweb10.
What is great about Phil Libin is that he shows all the results of his company, including its revenue, although the company is not public.
For me, Evernote is an excellent example of a successful Freemium. The application is free, and the pro version doesn’t offer than many advantages that would make you buy it.
After 24 months of use, the conversion rate reached 20%. This is very impressive.
